Format Rules

Skip and Third on each team must work directly for a pulp and/or paper mill.

Includes anybody who works in the corporate offices of the mills

Or is retired from a pulp or paper mill

For Second and Lead, preference should be given to pulp and paper employees, but 2010 Sponsors may play in either of these two positions.

Come under the BUMMER RULE (attended this bonspiel for more than ten years but no longer work in industry)

Team can consist of players from any mill and be any combination of male and female players.

Rules of Play
CCA rules shall be in effect throughout the Bonspiel.

The Moncton Rule or ‘Free Guard Zone’ rule will be in effect. Four rock free guard zone.

Disputes will be settled by the skip of each team. The skip of the non-offending team will have the last say.

The organizing committee are the rules committee and all rulings are final.

All games will be 8 ends and only 2 hours are allowed for each draw. Extra ends will be played to break a tie.

Teams are encouraged to keep play moving to ensure that the draws are completed within the allotted time.

Per normal their will be a cash prize for game winners and all event winners. The actual amount of the prize will be determined by the number of teams participating and will be a percentage of the entry fees.

The number of teams qualifying for the championship and consolation rounds will be determined by the total number of teams entered.
