Portage Pool - Located at Portage College in Lac La Biche, your welcoming package includes one free pass to this outstanding facility so you can have a relaxing swim in the pool, soak those sore muscles in the large hot tub, or melt away the days tensions in the steam room.
2004 Festival of Speed - March 6 & 7
An increasingly popular event, with the addition of snowmobile drag races this
event promises excitement for all ages! A world class track is laid out right in
front of the town's McArthur place, with large public parking lots and a wide
road around the perimeter of the track you can see it all. From the
bumper-bumping rubber to ice class to the 100+ mph unlimited stud class, add in
vantage points from anywhere on the track and you have it all! For

2004 Peewee Pond Hockey Tournament - March 6
On Saturday, March 6th, the Kinsmen Club of Lac La Biche is hosting the premiere
hockey tournament to hit Alberta this year. 24 pre-novice, novice, and atom
teams from all over Alberta will compete in the first Pond Hockey Tournament
ever to be played on Lac La Biche Lake. Teams will compete on rinks carved out
of the ice and will play hockey the way it was meant to be played, for the fun
of it. No red lines, no blue lines, no face-off circles, just 2 nets, 1 puck,

Lac La Biche Cross Country Ski Loppet - March 6 & 7
This annual cross-country skiing Loppet is held at Shaw Lake, in Lakeland Provincial Park. It includes classical and skating events that are hosted by the Lac La Biche Nordic Ski Club. Distances vary from 3 km- 30km and all levels of expertise are welcome.
